CVJM Bayreuth e.V. | Events & Tickets
The CVJM Bayreuth e.V. is a Christian meeting and event venue located at Wittelsbacherring 26 in 95444 Bayreuth, which has been firmly established in the city for many years. According to its own representation, the association is over 100 years old, and since 2002 it has had its own premises that support the diverse work of the house. Those looking for events, tickets, programs, or contact options will find a lively calendar, current group offers, and clear contacts on the website. This mix makes the place interesting: it is not just a classic event venue, but a place for community, faith, music, conversations, children's and youth work, as well as regular meetings in various formats. This makes CVJM Bayreuth equally relevant for families, young people, adults, and those interested in Christian community. ([cvjm-bayreuth.de](https://www.cvjm-bayreuth.de/cvjm-bayreuth/))
Events and Programs at CVJM Bayreuth
The heart of the website is the event calendar. For April and May 2026, it lists events such as evening gatherings for men, Bible & Us, worship at CVJM, an annual general meeting with the election of the board, staff meetings, spring cleaning, communal lunch, and a church service at CVJM. This selection clearly shows what the place stands for: not rigid event formats, but a wide range of spiritual meetings, community actions, practical involvement, and encounters. The schedule is continuously maintained and makes it clear that something is regularly happening at CVJM Bayreuth. Additionally, the homepage features current posts such as We are participating in the youth service, 50plus meets for culinary experiences, right after the holidays we continue with a Bible evening, and We meet again for communal worship. So, those looking for events in Bayreuth will find here primarily a lively club and community program instead of an anonymous ticket portal. ([cvjm-bayreuth.de](https://www.cvjm-bayreuth.de/events/))
Noteworthy is also the variety of formats that span across age groups and interests. On one side are spiritual evenings like Bible & Us or worship at CVJM, on the other side are communal meals, organizational meetings, and actions for members and friends of the house. The website also shows that CVJM Bayreuth not only publishes individual events but maintains a whole structure of groups, Bible circles, children's work, youth offers, music, and sports. So, those looking for a program for Bayreuth will discover here not just a pure event location, but a continuously used house with many recurring offers. This explains why search queries for events, calendars, programs, and tickets converge here: people are looking for orientation, for dates, and for an easy way to participate in the life of the house. The events area is the central gateway for that. ([cvjm-bayreuth.de](https://www.cvjm-bayreuth.de/events/))
Tickets, Registration, and Participation: What Visitors Should Know
Those specifically looking for tickets will encounter an open, community-oriented event model at CVJM Bayreuth rather than a classic ticket shop. The website primarily highlights dates, groups, and contact persons. Many offers are organized as regular meetings, where participation is handled directly through the group or through the mentioned contact person. This is what distinguishes CVJM Bayreuth from a typical concert or exhibition hall: it is more about committed community than about entry systems or seating contingents. For the user, this means that the most important step is not necessarily the online purchase, but often direct contact or checking the calendar. The site transparently indicates when offers take place and who is responsible. ([cvjm-bayreuth.de](https://www.cvjm-bayreuth.de/events/))
This is also important for the search intent because the term tickets is understood differently at this location than in a large concert hall. The website shows recurring formats with fixed times, but no clearly designated general ticket sales for standard events. Instead, there are direct contact options via email and phone, as well as recurring groups to which one is invited. Examples include the teen circle, the children's group Milchzähnchen, Bible circles, or the prayer circle for staff. For visitors, this means: if you want to participate, you should first check the event calendar and the respective group offers. If registration is necessary, it is typically clarified directly with the responsible persons. This structure is very fitting for a Christian association and underscores the personal character of the house. ([cvjm-bayreuth.de](https://www.cvjm-bayreuth.de/events/))
Bible Circles, Worship, and Spiritual Groups
A central theme of CVJM Bayreuth is the Bible circles. The website describes several fixed formats: The Sunday Bible circle is aimed at adults and families, takes place once a month on Sundays in various houses by arrangement, and starts at 7:30 PM. Maranatha is a house Bible circle for couples and singles, which takes place every second Monday at 8:00 PM at CVJM. Credo is also a house Bible circle for adults, meeting every second Monday from 8:00 to 9:30 PM, currently held in the garden or in one of the two large rooms in the CVJM house. Additionally, there is online Bible circle work, which shows how flexibly the community responds to different life situations. These offers are more than just program points: they form the spiritual backbone of the work in the house. ([cvjm-bayreuth.de](https://www.cvjm-bayreuth.de/bibelkreise/?utm_source=openai))
Particularly interesting is the International Bible Hour, which takes place every Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the library. According to the website, selected texts are discussed there, and translations are available in Farsi, Kurdish, Urdu, Albanian, French, and English, among others. This clearly shows that CVJM Bayreuth aims to reach people with different language and life backgrounds. Additionally, there is the prayer circle for staff, which takes place on Mondays from 7:00 to 7:30 PM in the room of silence or in the fireplace room. Worship is also firmly anchored, as current dates on the homepage and event page show. So, those looking for a place for faith community, conversation, and musical spiritual meetings will find here an astonishingly broad and well-structured offer. ([cvjm-bayreuth.de](https://www.cvjm-bayreuth.de/bibelkreise/?utm_source=openai))
Offers for Children, Youth, Music, and Sports
CVJM Bayreuth is explicitly also a place for children and youth. On the children's page, the group Milchzähnchen is for families with children aged 0 to 6 years. It meets every Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:00 PM at CVJM House; siblings in elementary school age are welcome at the Rockies at the same time. The page also provides practical tips such as snacks, slippers, or non-slip socks and refers to direct contacts. On the youth page, there is the teen circle: every Friday from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at CVJM House for teens aged 13 to 17. A colorful program with community, games, action, and discussions about faith is announced there. This covers an important area that often appears in search queries under children, youth, youth circle, or family offers. ([cvjm-bayreuth.de](https://www.cvjm-bayreuth.de/kinder/))
Music and sports are also part of the identity of CVJM Bayreuth. According to the website, the CVJM choir rehearses bi-weekly on Thursdays, and there are references to the brass choir, which has joined the area of the city church. The program PDFs also explicitly list the field of sports and music as its own thematic block. Sports take place according to the website at the Upper Gymnasium R2, Adolf-Wächter-Straße 8, weekly on Thursdays from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, with varying offers of spikeball and soccer. All of this shows: CVJM Bayreuth is known not only for spiritual conversations but also for active community in everyday life. So, those looking for a place with lively groups, music, movement, and social interaction will find here a very broad and clear offer structure. ([cvjm-bayreuth.de](https://www.cvjm-bayreuth.de/musik/?utm_source=openai))
Directions, Parking, and Location at Wittelsbacherring
The address of CVJM Bayreuth is Wittelsbacherring 26, 95444 Bayreuth. According to the imprint, this is also the official association address, and the website additionally provides phone and email contact. For visitors, the central location is an advantage because the site is well embedded in the urban environment. In Bayreuth, according to the city administration, there are over 6,000 public and private parking spaces available within 500 meters of the city center in parking garages, underground garages, parking lots, and along the streets. The city also points out that mobile parking is possible at fee-based municipal parking spaces and that electric license plates can park for free in public municipal areas, provided the respective parking regulations are observed. This is practical for arriving by car and makes the downtown location of CVJM manageable. ([cvjm-bayreuth.de](https://www.cvjm-bayreuth.de/impressum/?utm_source=openai))
Public transport connections are also well understandable. In the VGN network plan, Bayreuth Wittelsbacherring appears as a stop area, including lines 306, 310, 315, and 323. This shows that the location is connected to the city's public transport. For visitors who do not wish to come by car, this is an important plus. The CVJM program PDF also mentions that there are no fixed office hours, but that they are often reachable by phone during the week and otherwise can use voicemail or email. This fits well with a location that lives more from personal accessibility and flexible group offers than from classic counter opening hours. Therefore, three things are particularly helpful for planning a visit: the address, the event calendar, and the direct contact option to the house. ([vgn.de](https://www.vgn.de/efa10/efa102/vgn_www/ROP/0002ad2.pdf?utm_source=openai))
History, Rooms, and the Profile of CVJM Bayreuth
CVJM Bayreuth has a long development history. The CVJM Bayreuth page describes that the association is already over 100 years old. After a phase with changing accommodations, a new upswing began in 1974, initially with rented rooms on Ludwigstraße. Later, the work became so extensive that the desire for a own CVJM house grew stronger. When the opportunity arose to purchase the former official residence of the regional bishop, the association took this step despite significant financial burdens. Since 2002, its own premises have been available as a basis for the diverse activities. This history explains the special character of the house: it is not just an event venue but the result of a long, committed association history with many upheavals but also much continuity. ([cvjm-bayreuth.de](https://www.cvjm-bayreuth.de/cvjm-bayreuth/))
The premises themselves are specifically visible on various pages. Mentioned are, among others, library, room of silence, fireplace room, garden, hall, and two large rooms in the CVJM house. These rooms are used for Bible circles, prayer circles, everyday meetings, or conversations. Together with the groups for children, youth, adults, music, and sports, this creates the image of a lively house with multiple levels of community. CVJM itself also refers to its roots in the worldwide CVJM movement, which began in 1844 in London and is now represented in over 120 countries. This places the Bayreuth location in a larger context: local roots, Christian profile, and international movement at the same time. For visitors looking for an authentic place for encounter, faith, and club life, CVJM Bayreuth is therefore particularly attractive. The YMCA is my spiritual home. I've been involved with the YMCA since I was six years old. The "C" (Christian) is a strong, consistent thread running through all the events. As is the case everywhere, there are hardliners and softliners among the leaders... and of course, there are occasional human foibles; no one here is a saint just because of the "C." However, the difference to other organizations is quite noticeable. The "J" (Christian) is always a matter of mindset. My stepfather, even at 74, still managed to nail a bicycle kick under the crossbar... it wasn't good for him, but respect is due. The combination of amateurs and professionals, sports and worship, and the commitment have fascinated me for 42 years now. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it.
