Evangelical Center Bayreuth | Events & Parking

The Evangelical Center Bayreuth is a central event address in the upper pedestrian zone of the city, combining a quiet courtyard location with an urban environment in the heart of Bayreuth. According to the official description, the venue is suitable for conferences, lectures, readings, training sessions, celebrations, balls, anniversaries, concerts, and trade fairs, providing a framework for events from 15 to 530 people. At the same time, it is just a few minutes' walk from RW21, the Hofgarten, and the New Palace, allowing visitors to combine their event with a stroll, a café visit, or an appointment in the city center. This mix of central accessibility, a quiet courtyard, and flexible room structure makes the location interesting for very different event formats. The Evangelical Center presents itself not as a classic single-purpose hall but as a versatile place for encounters, culture, and both church-related and open public formats. The official website describes the venue as a modern location that allows for focused meetings as well as relaxed celebrations or versatile event usage. ([ez-bayreuth.de](https://www.ez-bayreuth.de/?utm_source=openai))

Events, Event Calendar, and Booking

Those planning an event at the Evangelical Center Bayreuth will find a dedicated section for occupancy, booking, and the event calendar on the official website. This is practical for anyone looking not only for a room but also wanting to check availability, scheduling logic, and organizational conditions. The website refers to the online occupancy calendar and also offers traditional contact methods via phone and email. The administration is available Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 11:30 AM and by appointment; outside these hours, one can contact via email or use the digital calendar. This is important for organizers because the venue provides not only rooms but also a clear organizational structure. Therefore, anyone planning a conference, training, concert, or celebration at the Evangelical Center should start with the calendar and a direct inquiry to the administration. The style of the building also supports this orientation: The motto “Meet - Celebrate - Experience” is not just a slogan but describes the three fundamental types of use explicitly highlighted on the website. Additionally, the current event calendar continuously shows new dates, emphasizing the character of a lively event venue. ([ez-bayreuth.de](https://www.ez-bayreuth.de/belegung-und-buchung?utm_source=openai))

In practice, this means: The Evangelical Center is designed for events where people want not just to attend but to rely on a clearly structured process. Especially for training sessions, lectures, or multi-part day programs, a reliable booking logic is just as important as the room size. Therefore, the official description highlights both the calendar and booking as independent information points. This is a good signal for organizers planning seminars, community events, receptions, cultural evenings, or internal corporate events. The architecture of the usage also follows this thought: Halls and seminar rooms are each linked with foyer or entrance areas, allowing for orderly reception, arrival, and breaks. Additionally, it is important that the venue operates without catering. This means that suppliers for food and beverages can be chosen freely, while the venue has modern kitchen facilities and cold storage rooms. For many organizers, this mix of freedom and infrastructure is ideal because it allows for individual catering without sacrificing functional requirements. ([ez-bayreuth.de](https://www.ez-bayreuth.de/feiern?utm_source=openai))

Rooms, Floor Plan, and Capacities

The room structure is one of the greatest strengths of the Evangelical Center Bayreuth. According to the official room overview, four rooms of different sizes are available, complemented by foyer, conservatory, and courtyard areas. The large hall is the largest area of the building and can accommodate up to 530 people depending on the seating arrangement. It features a large stage, a separate entrance, foyer, conservatory, and a professional kitchen and catering infrastructure. The small hall on the first floor is designed for smaller to medium-sized events and offers space for up to 200 people. Additionally, there is the large seminar room with a capacity of up to 40 people and the small seminar room for up to 22 people. This means the venue covers both large formats and compact working groups. Therefore, those looking for a location with clear scaling will find not just a hall here but a tiered system of rooms that can adapt to different target groups. The official tourism website also lists the center as an event location and assigns the maximum capacity and room table to the individual areas. ([ez-bayreuth.de](https://www.ez-bayreuth.de/die-raeume?utm_source=openai))

The character of the rooms is intentionally varied. The large hall appears bright and can be darkened if necessary; the conservatory brings café atmosphere to the entrance and buffet area; the small hall is described as historically significant; the large seminar room opens up with a view of the green courtyard; and the small seminar room is designed for meetings and seminars in small groups. This is important for planners because not only do the numbers match, but the atmosphere can also fit the respective event. A reading often requires a different environment than a choir performance, and a corporate presentation requires different lighting conditions than a training session. The Evangelical Center responds to this with clearly defined room types and ancillary areas that support reception, cloakroom, and break structure. For visitors, this is pleasant because they can quickly orient themselves depending on the format, and for organizers, it is efficient because they do not have to reinvent how a process could work for each use. Especially in connection with the foyer areas and the courtyard, a flexible event venue is created that is suitable for both festive occasions and factual day formats. Access, Parking, and Central Location in Bayreuth

The location of the Evangelical Center is one of the reasons why it is so attractive to many visitors. The building is located at Richard-Wagner-Straße 24 in Bayreuth, in the city center and in direct proximity to the upper pedestrian zone. The official website and the Bayreuth tourism site describe the surroundings as central yet quiet, as the building is situated in a courtyard. At the same time, the area is pleasantly diverse for guests: Within a short distance are the city library RW21, the Hofgarten, and the New Palace, as well as cafés, restaurants, museums, and shopping opportunities. Those attending an event not only reach a venue but also a whole city center environment that is suitable for preparation or follow-up as well as for staying between two program points. For conferences or meetings, this location is particularly practical because participants have short distances and travel in the city is usually uncomplicated. For cultural formats, the central location additionally creates a suitable framework, as visitors can often combine their event with other appointments. ([ez-bayreuth.de](https://www.ez-bayreuth.de/?utm_source=openai))

Also regarding parking, the location provides concrete and practical information. The official access page mentions the parking lot in Münzgasse and the parking garage in Badstraße as sufficiently close parking options. Additionally, there are spaces in the courtyard of the Evangelical Center for temporary loading and unloading of vehicles, which is particularly helpful for setup, catering, or technical logistics. Bicycle racks are also available for securely locking bicycles, so arriving by bike is also taken into account. These details show that the event venue focuses not only on beautiful rooms but also on practical accessibility. For guests, this means: they find a real event address close to the city center with several travel options. For organizers, this means: there are usable solutions for both visitor flows and logistics. Especially for larger events with technology, materials, or catering, this is an important advantage because setup is not complicated by difficult access routes or unclear parking situations. ([ez-bayreuth.de](https://www.ez-bayreuth.de/anfahrt?utm_source=openai))

Technology, Equipment, and Barrier-Free Use

The Evangelical Center Bayreuth is not only spatially flexible but also well-equipped technically. The official room pages list microphone systems, projectors, Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, streaming equipment, and other technical equipment for several rooms. In the large hall, additional features include a stage, podium, large-format screen, basic stage lighting, and dimmable lighting. The small hall also offers a projector, Wi-Fi, microphone system, and a streaming setup, while the seminar rooms for training and lectures are equipped with flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, and depending on the room, microphone technology. For events with presentations, hybrid formats, or live broadcasts, this is a significant advantage because the venue does not start from scratch but already has a robust technical foundation. Combined with the professional kitchen and cold storage rooms, it creates a venue suitable for classic daytime events as well as evenings with catering, festive receptions, or multi-hour program blocks. This is particularly important for organizers because equipment means not only comfort but also planning reliability. Those organizing an event with sound, light, image, and catering during breaks will find a structure here that simplifies the process. ([ez-bayreuth.de](https://www.ez-bayreuth.de/die-raeume/grosser-saal?utm_source=openai))

Another advantage is the barrier-free use of many areas. The official room overview states that all rooms, except for the small hall on the first floor, are barrier-free accessible. At the same time, the seminar rooms in the courtyard are located in the seminar building with its own entrance, sanitary facilities, and kitchen. This is particularly practical for smaller groups because arrival, breaks, and work phases are spatially sensibly combined. The courtyard and the quiet courtyard areas also contribute to the impression of a protected, clearly structured event environment. The small hall itself is not barrier-free but is explicitly described as a separately managed area suitable for conferences, training sessions, and celebrations. This differentiation is important because it can be taken into account when planning for guests, speakers, or groups with special needs. Overall, this creates a venue that takes modern event requirements seriously: good technology, understandable paths, clear room allocation, and the possibility to choose between open, representative, and more focused zones depending on the event format. ([ez-bayreuth.de](https://www.ez-bayreuth.de/die-raeume?utm_source=openai))

Typical Events and the Background of the Venue

The Evangelical Center Bayreuth is a place where very different types of events come together. The official website lists conferences, lectures, readings, training sessions, celebrations, balls, anniversaries, concerts, and trade fairs as suitable formats. The current event calendar regularly shows specific dates and makes it clear that the venue is actively used in everyday life. Thus, the Evangelical Center is not just an abstractly available space but indeed a place where cultural, social, and church-related uses intersect. For positioning as an event location, this is an important point because a good venue convinces not only through architecture but also through its real usage practice. Those considering the venue for a concert, a public event, a club evening, or a festive gathering can orient themselves to the fact that the website is explicitly designed for diverse event formats. Even the character of the building speaks to this versatility: concentrating on meetings during the day, celebrating in the evening, and using the courtyard or conservatory as a communicative zone in between is organizationally well conceivable here. ([ez-bayreuth.de](https://www.ez-bayreuth.de/?utm_source=openai))

The recent history of the venue also fits this open self-understanding. A local report from 2021 describes the renaming of the former community center to the Evangelical Center as a conscious fresh start with new openness and new content. According to this report, the new name was intended to make the changed orientation as an event venue with a wide range visible and to leave behind the somewhat outdated term community center. For classification, this is important because the current appearance of the venue did not arise by chance but is part of a strategic repositioning. This also explains why the website today emphasizes terms like meeting, celebrating, and experiencing so strongly and why the venue is consciously described as a modern, central, and yet quiet location. For visitors, this results in a clear impression: This is not an anonymous hall but a place with a church background, courtyard atmosphere, and modern event logic. This mix of history, new openness, and practical usability is a special combination for Bayreuth's city center. We were there for the premiere of "Goldfinger". We've known the Bayreuth a cappella group "Sixpack" for 15 years and it was outstanding once again. The venue was beautiful and conveniently located in downtown Bayreuth.
