Franconian World Music with Heart, Humor and Surprising Sounds

On Friday, October 30, 2026, Landmusigg will present the new program New the World! in the hall of the Gasthaus Zum Roten Ochsen in Troschenreuth. The event begins at 8:00 PM. The eight-member band combines Franconian dialect with acoustic folk, world music, and a distinctive dose of stage humor.

When Franconian Dialect Meets World Music

For 18 years, Landmusigg has stood for a unique sound between regional roots and musical open-mindedness. Clarinet and violin shape the sound color, while accordion, double bass, drums, percussion, and trombone provide rhythmic movement and colorful orchestration.

The lyrics mostly come from the pen of bandleader Siggi Michl. They tell of vibrant life, small absurdities, and big feelings – in Franconian, pointed, poetic, and always close to the audience.

New Program, Familiar Landmusigg Classics

New the World! combines new pieces with true classics of the band. Catchy melodies, energetic rhythms, and fine observations from everyday life alternate. Between the songs, the special live atmosphere emerges where concert, dialect evening, and musical world journey blend into one another.

Stylistically, Landmusigg opens up not only to folk musical sounds but also to Southeast European, Yiddish, and Latin American influences. The arrangements thrive on precise synchronization, warm acoustic sound, and a stage performance that combines musical playfulness with Franconian directness.

A Concert Evening at the Red Ox

The theater hall at the Gasthaus Zum Roten Ochsen will become a meeting place for friends of handmade music. The audience can expect a varied concert evening with clarinet and violin-focused passages, driving rhythms, and songs that stick immediately in memory.

The evening is co-organized by the Troschenreuther Dialect Theater e.V. and the Pegnitzer Brettl. Siggi Michl is already known in Troschenreuth through previous theater guest performances and is now returning to the stage with his band.
