Zweitakter Bring Live Music to the Bayreuth Christmas Market
On December 19, 2026, the band Zweitakter will create a musical Christmas atmosphere on the action stage of the Bayreuth Christmas Market. The performance starts at 5:30 PM on the city platform in Maximilianstraße and combines handmade live music with the special glow of lights during the Advent season.
Rock, Pop, and Christmas Sounds in the Open Air
Zweitakter stands for a versatile repertoire between rock, pop, and Christmas songs. Michael Hohberger plays accordion, keyboards, and sings, while Markus Hager contributes with acoustic guitar, electric guitar, ukulele, mandolin, and vocals. This instrumentation creates a diverse sound with acoustic warmth, rhythmic drive, and distinctive melodic lines.
Live Atmosphere in the Heart of the Christmas Market
As the first notes drift over the city platform, stage performance and pre-Christmas market activities converge. Amidst stalls, lights, and a wintry backdrop, an open concert atmosphere emerges for families, groups of friends, and anyone wishing to enhance their Christmas market visit with live music.
A Musical Meeting Point for the Advent Season
The performance by Zweitakter is part of the musical tradition of the action stage, where choirs, clubs, musicians, and bands regularly perform during the Bayreuth Christmas Market. The concert invites attendees to pause, experience familiar sounds in a new way, and enjoy the audience atmosphere of a free live performance in the open air.
