Christmas Choir Sounds in the Middle of the Bayreuth Christmas Market

On December 15, 2026, the Unichor Bayreuth will bring Christmas sounds to the action stage of the Christmas market. Amid festive lighting, winter market atmosphere, and the scent of roasted almonds, a delightful musical moment will be created in the city center.

Choral Music with a Festive Atmosphere

The Unichor Bayreuth stands for communal singing, musical diversity, and a vibrant university culture. The ensemble works across genres, combining classical choral music with works from musicals and pop. During the performance on the city stage, the immediate live atmosphere takes center stage: many voices, clear synchronization, and a sound that unfolds openly across the Christmas market.

A Musical Stopover in Advent

The action stage of the Christmas market provides the perfect setting for a short, intense concert experience. Christmas melodies meet the bustling activity of the market stalls, creating a moment to pause. The program is aimed at all who love choral singing and want to experience Bayreuth musically during the Advent season.

Unichor Bayreuth: Committed, Open, and Diverse

The choir was founded in 2021 by music-loving students and has since become an integral part of the cultural life at the University of Bayreuth. Notable highlights include a performance at the Margravial Opera House on the occasion of the university's anniversary. The musical work is supported by trained conductors; new singers are explicitly welcome.

Conclusion: Advent Atmosphere with Strong Voices

Visitors can expect a free performance featuring festive choral music, warm sound, and special proximity to the audience. Anyone visiting the Bayreuth Christmas market should experience this musical highlight live on the action stage.
