Art House Cinema with Attitude: Cinema Beyond at Neuneinhalb
On November 4, 2026, the art and cultural house Neuneinhalb in Bayreuth transforms into a focused place for cinematic discoveries. Cinema Beyond stands for sophisticated art house cinema, free admission, and an atmosphere where images, narrative forms, and societal questions are given space.
Film Art Beyond the Mainstream
The focus is on the aesthetic experience of cinema: a carefully selected film screening that does not aim for quick effects, but for atmosphere, precise observation, and lasting impact. Art house cinema opens the view to distinctive directorial signatures, complex characters, and narratives that shift familiar perspectives.
An Evening of Culture in the Art and Culture House
Neuneinhalb at Gerberplatz combines cinema, theater, readings, exhibitions, and other cultural formats. The venue sees itself as an open, low-threshold cultural space and has been awarded the Culture Prize of the City of Bayreuth for its diverse engagement. This combination of cultural education, personal encounters, and lively program work also shapes the exhibition atmosphere of the cinema evening.
Work Reflection in the Dark Cinema Hall
When the lights go out, image composition, editing, sound, and acting come to the forefront. The intimate spatial effect of Neuneinhalb creates closeness to the screen and invites one to consciously perceive cinematic design. Thus, the screening becomes an art experience between aesthetic experience, critical reflection, and shared attention.
Conclusion: Experience Film Art and Gain New Perspectives
Cinema Beyond awaits its audience with the finest art house cinema, cultural openness, and free admission. Anyone wishing to discover film as an independent art form and experience a special cultural evening in Bayreuth should mark this date and attend the screening live at Neuneinhalb.
