Sunday at the Museum: Experience, Discover and Create Art

The Bayreuth Art Museum invites you to a special art experience on Sunday, October 25, 2026. After a tour of the current exhibition, a creative space opens up in the Museum Art Workshop for your own experiments with color, shape, and material.

From Observation to Personal Expression

The event combines focused artwork observation with practical cultural education. The tour through the exhibition provides art-historical stimuli before participants become active themselves and translate their impressions into their own works.

Colors, Shapes, and Materials in Dialogue

In the museum workshop, various painting techniques take center stage. Acrylic paints, oil pastels, and soft pastels allow for different color effects, surfaces, and forms of expression. Individual compositions emerge on paper and canvas, where colors and shapes are freely combined.

Creative Exhibition Atmosphere

Under the guidance of art educator Ingrid Seidel, the workshop becomes an open field for experimentation. Trying out, getting to know materials, and developing personal ideas are at the center of the experience. The offering is aimed at those interested in spending a relaxed Sunday afternoon with art, imagination, and aesthetic experience.

An Art Experience for Curious Museum Guests

The combination of exhibition, conversation, and personal creation makes the afternoon a visual introduction to artistic processes. The museum is experienced not just as a place of observation, but as a vibrant space where perception and creativity come together directly.

Conclusion

Visitors can look forward to an inspiring afternoon between art observation and their own creative work. Those who want to not only see painting but also experience it with colors and materials will find an enriching art experience at Sunday at the Museum in the heart of Bayreuth. Registration with the art museum is recommended.
