Experimenting with Colors: MaxXl Children's Art Course in Bayreuth
On November 20, 2026, the Art Museum Bayreuth will become a creative family experience for children aged 9 to 13. In the MaxXl Children's Art Course, the young participants will try out the spray technique and discover how to create their own artworks from color, movement, and imagination.
Discovering the Spray Technique and Developing Own Ideas
Under the expert guidance of Verena Weinmann, M.A., art educator, the children will learn about a special artistic technique. Spraying creates surprising patterns, fine structures, and vibrant colors. Each piece of work develops differently and invites participants to look closely, try new things and make their own decisions.
Creative Learning Experience in the Museum Workshop
The museum workshop offers a safe environment for focused creating and collaborative learning. Appropriately for their age, children can explore their curiosity, experiment with materials, and experience that art does not have a single right solution. The practical work strengthens imagination, fine motor skills, self-confidence, and the joy of independent expression.
Art Education with Fun and a Sense of Community
MaxXl combines the museum visit with active engagement. Instead of just looking at art, the children translate their impressions into images themselves. This child-friendly learning experience creates fun in learning, children's laughter, and shared time with peers. The course is particularly suitable for families seeking creative leisure activities with educational value.
Well Prepared for a Family Experience
The course will take place on Friday, November 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM to approximately 6:00 PM in the museum workshop of the Art Museum Bayreuth. Pre-registration with the art museum is recommended. Facilities available on-site include restrooms, accessible toilets, and space for strollers, walkers, and wheelchairs.
Conclusion: Experience Art Yourself
In the MaxXl Children's Art Course, children will experience how exciting images and personal expressions can come from a simple technique. Those wishing to combine curiosity, colors, and creative experimentation will find an inspiring afternoon full of wonder, learning fun, and personal ideas in the museum workshop.
