The Little Dragon Coconut takes families on a world trip
On Friday, January 8, 2027, Bayreuth will experience a special family event: The Little Dragon Coconut travels live around the world. At the Friedrichsforum, the COCOMICO tour combines scenic reading, live audio play, acting, original audiobook sounds, and music into a child-friendly stage experience full of adventure, excitement, and humor.
An exciting journey from London to China
The Little Dragon Coconut sets out to search for his friend Oskar, who was kidnapped by the nasty Murk. Clues lead him from London to Paris and Pisa to China. Each stop brings new riddles, surprising twists, and imaginative encounters. Children follow Coconut's journey with curiosity as familiar characters and places stimulate their imagination.
Philipp Schepmann brings the audiobook to the stage
Philipp Schepmann reads and performs the story live. As the original audiobook narrator, his voice is familiar to many families from the Coconut adventures. Together with the original sounds and the soundtrack under the musical direction of Andreas Muhlack, a diverse live audio play with scenic elements is created.
Fun learning, imagination, and quality time together
The event combines entertainment with a valuable learning experience. A journey through different countries awakens interest in other places and cultures. The story child-friendly strengthens themes of friendship, courage, solidarity, and problem-solving thinking. For families, there is an age-appropriate mix of listening, marveling, cheering along, and spending time together.
A warm family experience at the Friedrichsforum
In the large hall of the Friedrichsforum, visitors can expect an indoor experience particularly suitable for a family winter afternoon. Children's laughter, familiar audiobook voices, and imaginative sound worlds make the theater visit a special family moment. The scenic form creates closeness to the story and also invites young viewers to listen attentively and let their own images arise in their minds.
