Words as Playground: Creative Writing at RW21 Bayreuth
On October 17, 2026, the Bayreuth Adult Education Center invites you to a writing course that makes language a source of personal and literary inspiration. The focus is on creative writing prompts for diaries, letters, emails, and your own short texts.
Writing begins with the first thought
Creative writing opens an immediate access to the art of language. From observations, memories, and spontaneous ideas, new formulations, small narrative sketches, and personal text ideas emerge. The course is aimed at people who want to expand their writing practice and use words more consciously.
Playful writing practice and literary quality
The title of the course refers to a central thought of creative writing: language can be experimented with, changed, and reassembled. Writing games promote free flow of thoughts, sharpen perception for style and rhythm, and create space for linguistic experiments. It's not about academic performance pressure, but about the joy of formulation.
A concentrated reading atmosphere in RW21
The RW21 combines city library, adult education center, and reading café under one roof. Seminar room 1 offers a protected framework for concentrated work, exchange, and a literary experience in a relaxed atmosphere. The author encounter takes on a different form here: the own voice becomes the starting point of writing.
For diary, letter, email, and own texts
The writing prompts are suitable for different everyday situations. A diary entry gains precision, a letter gains expressiveness, and an email gains clarity. At the same time, access to literary forms is created where perspective, imagery, and narrative structure play an important role.
Conclusion: A morning for your own voice
The writing course promises an inspiring morning for all who wish not only to use language but to shape it. Since the event is marked as sold out, it is advisable to inquire with the Bayreuth Adult Education Center about possible waiting list spots or other course dates if there is further interest.
