Be active together for climate and biodiversity in Bayreuth
Anyone interested in climate, environment, and species protection will find a direct entry into the local movement at the open information and onboarding evening of the Alliance for Climate and Species Protection Bayreuth. On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the TransitionHaus Bayreuth will open its doors for people who want to ask questions, understand connections, get to know initiatives, or become actively involved.
An evening for orientation, exchange, and engagement
From 6:00 PM to about 9:00 PM, everything will revolve around the question of how climate protection and species protection can be concretely advanced in Bayreuth. Visitors will receive an overview of various groups, associations, and initiatives in the city. Local topics such as heat protection, paving, sustainable urban development, and how each person can contribute will be at the center of attention.
36 organizations, many ways to participate
The Alliance for Climate and Species Protection Bayreuth connects a total of 36 sustainable organizations. The evening is organized by Klimastimmen Bayreuth together with TransitionHaus Bayreuth e.V., NAJU Bayreuth, and Students for Future Bayreuth. The different focuses and forms of action make the alliance a versatile point of contact for civil society engagement.
From first interest to concrete involvement
The event is explicitly aimed at all interested parties: teenagers, adults, seniors, students, trainees, and people who just want to take a first look. The event experience combines information and personal encounters. In a relaxed atmosphere, conversations arise about environmental policy, sustainability, biodiversity, and concrete possibilities for involvement in Bayreuth.
An easily accessible venue
The TransitionHaus at Schulstraße 7 offers seating and standing options, open WiFi, and sanitary facilities. The venue is fully accessible with assistance. This makes the event planning create a low-threshold framework for exchange, networking, and collective learning.
Conclusion: Show up, inform, co-design
The open information and onboarding evening shows how collective action can emerge from interest. Anyone looking to get to know the Bayreuth climate and environmental initiatives, bring in their own questions, or become part of an engaged community will experience a diverse evening with practical points of contact. Admission is free.
