Upper Franconia Shapes Its Climate-Resilient Future
How can Upper Franconia remain climate-friendly, resilient, and livable? The closing event of the Regional Climate Conference RegioCOP 2026 will consolidate key insights from the previous conference days on November 20, 2026, and will focus on concrete perspectives for the region.
Insights from the Regional Climate Conference
At the conference center of the Student Union Upper Franconia, interested parties will gather to discuss climate protection, biodiversity, energy supply, and regional development. The focus will be on the results of the sub-conferences and the joint appeal of RegioCOP 2026.
The event positions climate protection as an essential foundation for regional value creation, supply security, social cohesion, and crisis resilience. The event planning connects ecological responsibility with questions of municipal development and regional future security.
Resilience, Security, and Regional Responsibility
A particular focus will be on the significance of security and resilience in relation to climate protection and energy supply. The closing event will showcase how regional strategies contribute to crisis prevention while simultaneously opening new future perspectives for Upper Franconia.
Representatives from politics, municipalities, churches, and society will provide insights into the opportunities of active climate protection policy through brief statements. This creates a professionally grounded atmosphere for discussion and brings different perspectives together in one place.
Developing Ideas and Strengthening Networks
At the end, the audience will become active: At theme tables, ideas can be further developed, contacts established, and new projects initiated. There will also be opportunities to discuss initial topics for RegioCOP 2027.
This creates an event experience that combines information, exchange, and participation. The atmosphere among the audience thrives on direct conversation and a shared vision for a climate-friendly, biodiversity-rich, and sustainable region.
