Learning to Sketch: Creating Lively Images with Just a Few Lines
The sketch workshop for adults at FabLab Bayreuth invites you to discover quick and free drawing as an immediate form of perception. Over five consecutive sessions, playful learning, creative concentration, and the joy of your own drawing journey are the focus.
The Eye for Shapes, Proportions, and Perspective
Participants will learn to consciously capture motifs, reduce them to the essentials, and develop expressive sketches with just a few strokes. Exercises on proportions, shapes, perspective, line control, and composition provide a solid foundation for graphic design.
Lines, Hatching, and Individual Expressiveness
Short drawing exercises and practical prompts sharpen the eye for size ratios and composition. Various techniques, line types, and hatching open up an immediate access to graphic design. This creates an aesthetic experience where observation, experimentation, and the courage for free expression matter more than perfection.
Creative Exchange in Small Groups
The workshop offers space for mutual inspiration and personal artwork review. The group size is limited to a maximum of ten people. This creates a concentrated yet open exhibition atmosphere of shared learning, where individual questions and different drawing interests have room to flourish.
Materials and Procedure
The required drawing materials will be provided. You may also bring your own sketchbook or preferred pens. The course takes place over five Saturdays from November 21 to December 19, 2026, each from 12:30 to 14:30. No prior knowledge is required.
Conclusion: Drawing as an Immediate Art Experience
The sketch workshop combines cultural education, practical art communication, and personal discovery. Anyone who wishes to see motifs more clearly, place lines more consciously, and develop their own drawing style will find an inspiring access to drawing here. The concentrated atmosphere at FabLab Bayreuth makes the workshop an inspiring opportunity to experience the aesthetic practice of sketching live.
