The J.A.Z. Bayreuth Introduces Itself: Experience Community and Discover Help

J.A.Z. Bayreuth: Encounter, Support, and Lived Community

On November 3, 2026, the non-profit association J.A.Z. – Young and Old Together in the City and District of Bayreuth e. V. will introduce itself at RW21. Visitors will learn how mutual assistance makes daily life easier and strengthens social contacts in Bayreuth.

Members Help Members

The focus of the association is on a solidarity-based coexistence: J.A.Z. provides support for people who need help in their daily lives. This includes, among other things, accompaniment to medical appointments, shopping assistance, support in household and garden, as well as help with technical questions.

Cross-Generational Help with Personal Proximity

J.A.Z. connects younger and older people in the City and District of Bayreuth. The concept relies on mutual giving and taking, trust, and voluntary commitment. This creates a network that promotes independence and allows people to live an autonomous life in their familiar home for as long as possible.

Information from the Source at RW21

On the ground floor of the RW21 City Library at the marketplace, the event offers a good opportunity to get to know the association and its offerings. The open atmosphere of this central meeting place creates space for personal conversations, questions about membership, and information on the various ways to get involved.

Experience and Commitment for Bayreuth

Since 2018, J.A.Z. has continued the idea of the former project Bartering Without Money Bayreuth with an expanded concept. The association organizes assistance between its members, thereby strengthening civic engagement, social participation, and exchange between generations. According to the association, J.A.Z. has more than 1,400 members and 158 active helpers.
