Campus Academy Uni Bayreuth | Continuing Education & Certificates

The Campus Academy for Continuing Education at the University of Bayreuth is not a traditional event venue, but the central university unit for continuing education for professionals who wish to further qualify academically and practically. Since 2003, the institution has developed formats for individuals with initial vocational training or studies who want to learn alongside their jobs, network, and open new career paths. The team is located on the campus of the University of Bayreuth in building FAN D at Universitätsstraße 30; the meeting room and offices are on the ground floor. Those looking for serious, scientifically embedded continuing education in Bayreuth will find here a combination of academic standards, personal support, and clearly structured organization. The Campus Academy thus serves as a bridge between university, professional practice, and regional knowledge transfer. What is the Campus Academy for Continuing Education at the University of Bayreuth?

The Campus Academy was founded in 2003 by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dieter Brüggemann to create a suitable offer for part-time continuing education at the University of Bayreuth. Since then, it has established itself as an independent institution responsible for the university's continuing education programs. These include part-time degree programs, certified courses, and seminars that are conducted at the university level by instructors from science and practice. The university itself acts not only as a sponsor but also as a quality seal, providing infrastructure and facilities and accompanying the offerings professionally. This anchoring in the university clearly distinguishes the Campus Academy from many private continuing education institutions. ([campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de](https://www.campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de/de/akademie/index.html))

The target group is clearly defined: the offerings are generally aimed at individuals who have already completed initial vocational training or a qualifying degree, are employed, and wish to continue their education at an academic level. This is particularly interesting for people looking to advance within their company, realign professionally, or switch to another industry. Thematically, the Campus Academy focuses on areas where the University of Bayreuth has particular strengths, especially sports, health, sustainability and ethics, as well as business administration and law. This is an important SEO and content aspect because frequent search queries for the Campus Academy Bayreuth not only refer to the name of the institution but usually also seek a serious, practice-oriented continuing education offer with a university connection. ([campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de](https://www.campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de/de/akademie/FAQs/index.html))

Additionally, there is the transfer idea: the Campus Academy is not only a provider of education but also a carrier of research projects, university-wide events, and regional network management. The official pages also emphasize that the continuing education programs are regularly revised to incorporate new topics or update existing formats. This is particularly relevant for seekers looking for a vibrant, current, and adaptable continuing education experience rather than a static institution. Those interested in Campus Academy Uni Bayreuth, Campus Academy Bayreuth, or Campus Academy of the University of Bayreuth typically seek this mix of academic quality, practical relevance, and continuous development. ([campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de](https://www.campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de/de/akademie/FAQs/index.html))

Part-time Degree Programs, Certificate Courses, and Seminars

The heart of the Campus Academy consists of three clearly defined continuing education formats. Part-time degree programs last at least two years, include compressed teaching phases several times a year on designated presence weekends, and lead to an academic degree, such as a master's degree, upon successful completion. Certificate courses typically consist of three to eight teaching days, include at least one examination performance, and conclude with a certificate. Seminars usually last one to two days, do not require an examination, and end with a participation confirmation. This structure is particularly important for search intent because many users are not only searching for the location but also for the suitable format for their schedule, goals, and career path. ([campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de](https://www.campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de/de/akademie/FAQs/index.html))

The advantages of these formats are obvious: the content is conveyed scientifically sound yet practically relevant, participants learn in small groups, and the exchange with professional colleagues plays a significant role. The Campus Academy also emphasizes comprehensive support before, during, and after the continuing education measure. This is particularly important for working professionals because continuing education requires not only knowledge but also organization, orientation, and reliability. Additionally, participation fees can generally be claimed as business expenses or operating costs according to the official guidelines of the Campus Academy, making the programs attractive from a business perspective. For companies, the Campus Academy is a partner for tailored in-house training and individual continuing education offers. ([campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de](https://www.campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de/de/akademie/FAQs/index.html))

The variety of topics is broad yet clearly defined. The official pages and team overviews feature examples such as MBA Health Care Management, MBA Sports Management, LL.M. Sports Law, M.A. Environment, Climate and Health, Sustainability Management, Data Science and AI, Purchasing Management in the Digital Age, Generative AI for Individual Applications, and Leadership in the Age of AI. The programs demonstrate how the Campus Academy connects traditional fields with current future topics. Those searching for continuing education offers at the University of Bayreuth will find not only classic academic formats but also content that covers digital transformation, management issues, health, law, and sustainability. This is particularly valuable from an SEO perspective because these topics address the search terms that are relevant today for continuing education and professional development. ([campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de](https://www.campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de/de/akademie/index.html))

Directions, Address, and Parking at Universitätsstraße 30

The Campus Academy is located on the campus of the University of Bayreuth. The visitor address is Universitätsstraße 30, 95447 Bayreuth, Building FAN D. According to the official team page, the meeting room and offices are on the ground floor. For travel by car, the standard route is via the A9 to the Bayreuth-Süd exit, then continue towards the university. The university is located on the southern outskirts of the city; several official pages state that it is only about 900 meters from the Bayreuth-Süd interchange and is signposted as a university from there. This makes the location convenient for visitors from the region as well as for participants from other areas. ([campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de](https://www.campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de/de/akademie/Team/index.php))

The campus is also easily accessible by public transport. From Bayreuth main station, line 316, among others, goes directly to the campus; alternatively, you can reach the university via the central bus station with lines 304, 306, or 326. Several stops are mentioned on campus, including Mensa, Geosciences, and University Administration. For visitors arriving by car, it is also important that there are a large number of free parking spaces available on campus. Mentioned are, among others, parking options at the garden entrance, parking lot P1, and if necessary, alternative spaces at Kreuzsteinbad. This information is particularly relevant for search queries related to Campus Academy parking, directions to the University of Bayreuth, or Universitätsstraße 30, as they provide concrete orientation instead of general platitudes. ([studienberatung.uni-bayreuth.de](https://www.studienberatung.uni-bayreuth.de/de/studieninteressierte/Hochschulinformationstag/HIT-Programmablauf2026/index.html))

For user intent, it is also important: the Campus Academy is part of a large university campus, not an isolated single building. Therefore, visitors should plan a little buffer for navigating the grounds and pay attention to campus-related information. The university recommends different stops depending on the target building, and the signage on campus also plays a role. Those researching Campus Academy Bayreuth are often interested in the practical aspects on-site: Where exactly is the entrance, how do I get there, and where do I park? These questions are reliably answered by the official directions. This makes the location practical for continuing education visits and reduces uncertainty before the appointment. ([campustour.uni-bayreuth.de](https://www.campustour.uni-bayreuth.de/de/anreise/index.html))

Learning Digitally, Hybrid, and Practically at the Campus Academy

A strong feature of the Campus Academy is its flexibility. The University of Bayreuth explicitly emphasizes that continuing education can also take place digitally or in hybrid form, allowing participants and students to remain as flexible as possible. This is particularly relevant for working professionals who need to balance continuing education with job, family, and other commitments. Additionally, materials and documents are available on the University of Bayreuth's e-learning platform if additional documents are needed. The Campus Academy thus combines traditional presence phases, digital learning spaces, and structured support, so that learning is not bound to the campus but is oriented towards the life realities of the target group. At the same time, the offerings are quality assured by the system-accredited university and evaluated by the participants. ([campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de](https://www.campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de/de/akademie/index.html))

Content-wise, the Campus Academy is also close to current developments. The official pages mention topics such as sports, health, sustainability, ethics, business administration, and law as focus areas. The current programs also include formats with a clear future reference, such as Data Science and AI, generative AI, purchasing management in the digital age, and leadership in the age of AI. This shows that the institution does not view continuing education as merely repeating fundamentals but as adapting to new professional requirements. For companies, this is particularly interesting because they can book exactly the content needed in their daily operations through in-house training or tailored programs. For search engines, this means a strong thematic depth, as the Campus Academy Bayreuth can be perceived not only as a brand but also as an interface between science, digitalization, and practice. ([campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de](https://www.campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de/de/akademie/index.html))

The learning culture itself is also a location advantage. The Campus Academy emphasizes that it works with renowned instructors from science and practice, that the content is scientifically sound yet application-oriented, and that the exchange with professional colleagues is explicitly encouraged. Seminars serve compact knowledge transfer, certificate courses for intensive deepening, and degree programs for long-term academic completion. This tiered structure is ideal for users searching for Campus Academy Uni Bayreuth and wondering if the effort matches their situation. The response from the official pages essentially states: There is a suitable format for different time budgets, goals, and career phases. This flexibility makes the location and the offerings both search-strong and content-credible. ([campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de](https://www.campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de/de/akademie/FAQs/index.html))

Why Bayreuth as a Location for Continuing Education is Convincing

Bayreuth is more than just an address on the campus map. The city is described on the official pages as a margravial residence in the heart of Upper Franconia, nestled between the Fichtel Mountains and Franconian Switzerland. At the same time, it is a modern economic, congress, and university city with a diverse cultural offering. For the Campus Academy, this framework is ideal because continuing education takes place here not in an anonymous metropolis but in a compact, easily accessible, and lively environment. The university itself was founded in 1975 and is thus one of the younger universities in Germany. This aligns well with the self-image of the Campus Academy: open to new topics, flexible in design, and close to the current needs of profession and society. ([campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de](https://www.campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de/de/akademie/Bayreuth/index.html))

Particularly interesting is the regional and cultural added value. The University of Bayreuth refers to the campus in the green, the Campus Academy to Bayreuth as a place for urban and regional experiences, and during the presence phases of the master's programs, selected tours and visits are even offered. This shows that continuing education here consists not only of lectures and examinations but also of encounters, orientation, and experiential spaces. For participants, this is a real plus: they come not just for an appointment but experience a location that combines academic quality with quality of life. This also explains why search queries like Campus Academy Bayreuth, Campus Academy Uni Bayreuth, or University of Bayreuth Continuing Education have such a clear local component. Users do not want just any course but credible, well-established continuing education in Bayreuth. ([campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de](https://www.campus-akademie.uni-bayreuth.de/de/firmen/index.html?utm_source=openai))

Additionally, there is the role of the Campus Academy in the regional network. It collaborates with chairs, accompanies knowledge transfer projects, and sees itself as an actor in the region. This makes it a relevant partner for companies, professionals, and institutions in Upper Franconia when it comes to securing skilled workers, qualification, and further development. Especially in the context of digitalization, sustainability, health, and management, this is a strong argument. The Campus Academy brings university expertise where it is needed, not just in the form of a single seminar but as a structure for long-term continuing education. Thus, anyone looking for an address that combines academic quality, regional proximity, and practical feasibility will find a location in Bayreuth and at the Campus Academy with a clearly recognizable profile. Great content, inspirational speakers and an overall warm welcoming. I would do the workshop on 'inclusion' at the Iwalewahaus any time again. So much new insights and talking with not about the respective communities.

The training series "Space-Saving Community Development" was enormously enriching for me both professionally and personally, providing me with new knowledge and professional confidence. The speakers are highly competent and extremely motivated. The curriculum is well thought out and prepared, diverse, and very current. The participants are actively involved from the start. Of particular value is the creation of a personal seminar paper, which is developed in pairs; this is where a special gain lies. Over the four two-day units, we also grew together as a group, had a lot of fun, and continue to maintain contacts in the network. The course is absolutely recommended for sustainable community development and should really be suggested to every Bavarian municipality. A hot tip!

Very great program with many interesting people and in a creative place (Iwalewahaus). The course "Inclusive Cultural Institutions - the Museum" was characterized by great encounters with affected individuals and experts who really want to make a difference and bring about change. Unfortunately, there were too many lectures and inputs, which left little room for exchange. However, the organization and catering were TOP. I took away many suggestions and learned a lot. THANK YOU!
