Young Talents Bring Bayreuth to Life

On Saturday, November 14, 2026, the chamber music hall at Steingraeber & Söhne House Bayreuth transforms into a stage for musical youth from Upper Franconia. In the anniversary concert of the Franconian Youth Concerts series, young musicians under the direction of pianist Lisa Wellisch present a diverse matinee program.

A Stage for the Next Generation of Musicians

Since 2023, the concert series supported by the Mozart Society Bayreuth has provided young interpreters with a regular platform. About eight to ten Saturday mornings a year are dedicated to musical youth. The anniversary concert continues this committed work in the traditionally rich Steingraeber House.

Piano, Violin, and Chamber Music in a Historic Acoustic Space

The program features works for piano, violin, and chamber music. In addition to pianistic precision, the special tension of the live experience arises: focused silence before the first note, finely tuned synchronization in the ensemble, and the immediate sound of acoustic instruments in the chamber music hall.

Award Winners from Youth Compete

The concert brings together award winners from Youth Compete as well as other young talents from the region. The musical direction is taken by the Bayreuth pianist and educator Lisa Wellisch. Her conducting and artistic guidance provide a clear framework for the matinee, while the young interpreters unleash their personal stage performance.

A Concert Experience for the Whole Family

The Franconian Youth Concerts are open to all generations. Families, music enthusiasts, and visitors to the city experience a concentrated, vibrant audience atmosphere without barriers to access. Admission is free, and the event is expected to last from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
