Young Art in the Limelight: The Youth Art Triennale Opens Its Award Winners Exhibition
On December 7, 2027, the RW21 City Library of Bayreuth invites you to the vernissage of the award winners exhibition of the Youth Art Triennale. In the gallery on the first floor, outstanding positions of young artists and a vibrant variety of visual expression forms come together.
An Artistic Experience Between Discovery and Recognition
The award winners exhibition focuses on young talents and showcases how diverse contemporary emerging art is created. Painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, object art, and other forms of visual art offer different approaches to themes, materials, and personal image worlds.
The exhibition of the Youth Art Triennale stands for cultural education and the promotion of young talent. The competition of the Saxon-Bavarian City Network connects the cities of Bayreuth, Chemnitz, Hof, Marktredwitz, Plauen, and Zwickau, providing a public platform for young artists aged 14 to 25. The triennale takes place every three years and is considered an important venue for first professional visibility.
Art Appreciation with a Focus on Material and Space
A concentrated exhibition atmosphere is created in the gallery of RW21: Precisely set image surfaces, graphic structures, sculptural forms, and possibly space-consuming works enter into an immediate dialogue with the architectural environment. The juxtaposition of different techniques is what makes the aesthetic experience of this presentation.
The award-winning works demonstrate how young art communicates between personal observation, societal perception, and experimental visual language. Each work appreciation opens up its own perspective on the present and invites reflection on image, body, material, and space.
A Competition as the Promotion of Young Art
The Youth Art Triennale connects awards, exhibitions, and cultural participation. For the 2024 edition, numerous works were selected from several hundred submissions and presented in various cities of the city network. The selection included various media of visual and applied arts and highlighted the great range of artistic approaches in the young talent sector.
The Bayreuth presentation continues this tradition and makes the award-winning works accessible to a broad audience. For art enthusiasts, families, students, and anyone looking to discover young perspectives, the vernissage offers an immediate insight into current artistic developments.
Conclusion: Experience Young Perspectives Live
The vernissage of the award winners exhibition of the Youth Art Triennale promises an inspiring artistic experience with new voices, surprising visual ideas, and an open atmosphere. Anyone wishing to connect cultural education, contemporary young art, and aesthetic experience should mark the evening at the RW21 City Library of Bayreuth and discover the exhibition live.
