Discover, experiment, shape the future: The MINT-FallUni 2026
During the autumn holidays, the campus of the University of Bayreuth will become a creative research laboratory: At the MINT-FallUni 2026, young women aged 15 to 19 will experience mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology up close. In age-appropriate hands-on workshops, participants will build, experiment, program, and test – with a lot of curiosity, fun in learning, and real university atmosphere.
Participate instead of just watching
The participants will work independently on exciting questions from various MINT fields. How can we program a robot that cleans the oceans? How does an AI workflow function? How is a laser created, and what role can algae play in medicine? Such topics make scientific connections tangible and promote the joy of discovering on one's own.
Practical learning experiences on campus
The University of Bayreuth combines practical workshops with study orientation at the MINT-FallUni. Young women can get to know different fields of study, explore their own interests, and gain a realistic insight into possible study paths. The event is connected to the regional program MUT – Girls and Technology, which has been organizing vacation offerings for girls and young women since 2009.
Strong perspectives for young women
The MINT-FallUni strengthens self-initiative, self-confidence, and the experience of being able to solve technical and scientific tasks independently. The exchange with other participants builds a sense of community and shows that MINT subjects are diverse, creative, and full of future topics. A learning experience arises that goes beyond individual workshops and can provide orientation when choosing a study path.
Well prepared for the autumn holidays
The event will take place on November 3 and 4, 2026, at the University of Bayreuth. The start is scheduled for 9 AM each day. Workshop places are limited; online registration is possible until October 28, 2026. For families, the vacation program offers a safe and structured opportunity to discover interests and experience university atmosphere.
Conclusion: Two days full of curiosity and future ideas
The MINT-FallUni 2026 promises an inspiring family experience for young women who want to not only learn about but also experience technology, computer science, and natural sciences themselves. Those who enjoy tinkering, researching, and trying out will find shared time, new impulses, and concrete insights into the world of the University of Bayreuth.
