The Little Owl Brings Christmas Magic to Bayreuth
When the bells ring in the wintry forest, a warm-hearted theatre adventure begins for families: In the puppet theatre The Little Owl Celebrates Christmas, children from the age of three experience a lively story full of rhymes, colors, and childlike curiosity. The performance in the Europasaal of DAS ZENTRUM combines acting, picture books, and puppet theatre into a loving family experience.
A Little Owl on a Great Quest
In the tree of the owl family, there is Christmas excitement. The little owl is supposed to move out of her familiar nest and say goodbye to her friends. But she would rather fly to the stars that are especially dear to her. When she suddenly goes missing, Mama Owl begins an exciting search through the linden and the beech.
The story invites children to age-appropriately discover feelings like farewell, friendship, security, and anticipation. The search for the little owl creates opportunities for conversation and makes the performance a child-friendly learning experience about togetherness and family.
Picture Book, Characters, and Fun Rhymes
In front of a large open picture book, well-known book characters come to life. Page by page, a colorful puppet theatre experience unfolds, in which narration and acting merge. Funny rhymes invite participation and provide laughter, wonder, and communal moments in the audience.
With a playing time of about 50 minutes, the play offers a manageable, age-appropriate framework for young viewers. The imaginative staging appeals to children's imagination and playfully supports language, attention, and emotional understanding.
Quality Family Time in the Europasaal
Entrance starts at 15:30, and the performance begins at 16:00. DAS ZENTRUM is centrally located in Bayreuth and is accessible by public transport as well as by car.
