Advent Singing of the Luther Group in Bayreuth
When the Advent season begins and the lights of the Christkindlesmarkt shine, the Evangelical-Lutheran Deanery of Bayreuth invites you to a special musical faith experience. At the Advent singing of the Luther Group, traditional Advent and Christmas songs are combined with reflection, community, and the anticipation of the Christmas festival.
Singing Together and Contemplating
On the action stage of the Bayreuth Christkindlesmarkt, familiar melodies that have belonged to the Christian Advent tradition for generations will ring out. The sung songs create a calm, festive atmosphere and invite visitors to step out of the pre-Christmas routine for a moment.
Evangelical-Lutheran Advent Tradition
The Advent singing is rooted in the tradition of evangelical community work and shared faith practice. Advent songs accompany the liturgical preparation for Christmas, telling of hope and light and providing space for prayer, spirituality, and personal reflection. The Luther Group is shaping this public appearance together with the Evangelical-Lutheran Deanery of Bayreuth.
Open Invitation for the Community
The musical offering is aimed at people of all ages. Church members, families, guests of the Christkindlesmarkt, and those interested in religion can experience the Advent music in the heart of Bayreuth. There are no special participation requirements; the singing is publicly accessible and free of charge.
